The Bengals are clicking and will look to their super star quarterback Joe Burrow to guide them deep into the playoffs.
Burrow is a seasoned campaigner in late season games and is desperate to earn a Superbowl ring for the franchise, rather than focus on individual glory.
Talk of the MVP award is at the back of his mind though, but not a priority.
“Everything has to go right for you to win that award,” Burrow told Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer.
“You usually have to have the best record. A lot of things play into it. I’d like to win one eventually. But it’s not No. 1 on my list for sure.”
The Bengals started the season poorly going 1-3 but have won four on the spin and much of that success has to do with the form of Burrow.
Going into week 10 he has a 67% completion rate, 1,868 yards with 12 touchdowns.
He finished last season fourth in the MVP voting.
The Cincinnati team face a tough challenge in CJ Stroud’s Texans on Sunday.
The Bengals sit in last place in a highly competitive AFC North division buy with a 5-3 record they shared second with the Steelers and Browns.
They trail conference leading Ravens, who are 7-2.
