ESPN reported on Wednesday, that due to a right hamstring strain, the Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray will be benched for the rest of the month.

As other sources have confirmed, it is expected that Murray will need three to four weeks to properly heal before returning to the game.

Murray was on Saturday night during the win against the Chicago Bulls, he has missed two games so far and also missed time in October with a similar injury.
Nuggets coach Michael Malone shared,
“This will be something that will be longer than we would like. You have to have the big picture in mind and make sure we’re putting him in a position to get healthy before he comes back.”
He has been ruled out for the second straight game and will not take part on Wednesday when they host the Golden State Warriors in Colorado.
The Nuggets are taking a cautious approach to assure that there will be no lingering issues with the hamstring and there’s an expectation that Murray will need three-to-four weeks to properly heal and return to play, sources said. (More on NBA Countdown at 7 PM Eastern on ESPN).

Apparently, Murray has played in 7 games so far this season, averaging 16.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per contest. His shot accuracy is also underlined as shooting 43.3% from the field and 43.8% from the three-point range.
The Nuggets have managed 7-1 in their first eight games and most recently defeated the New Orleans Pelicans by a score of 134-116 even without Murray.
The Nuggets will be starting veteran guard Reggie Jackson in Murray’s place and getting contributions from young guards Collin Gillespie and Julian Strawther.
