On November 1, Texas Rangers returned to the World Series and won their first-ever championship, defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks in five games.

Rangers’ championship parade took place on November 3 where fans flooded the streets of Arlington.

Next, World Series MVP Corey Seager, the man of the hour, was scheduled to make an appearance at an Academy Sports and Outdoors near the couple’s home.

Die-hard Rangers fan, Amanda Chism, whose due date loomed just three weeks away decided to seize the moment and attend the event along with her husband, Britton.

As they stood in a long queue for Seager’s signature, Amanda found herself in the throes of labor.

Yet, she chose not to divulge the news to her first-time-dad husband, Britton, fearing it would send him into a panic.

“I’m like, if I tell him now, first-time dad… he’s going to start freaking out panicking,” she chuckled. “I was like, we’ve got to get this signature. We stood in line for three hours. I’m getting this signature!”

With Seager’s autograph securely in hand, Amanda finally broke the news to Britton as they exited the sporting goods store with her water broken.

The fan girl thrill of meeting Seager quickly transitioned into a race against time.

“I went from being a fan girl with Seager thinking I was going to faint, and then, oh no! It’s time to go!” Amanda exclaimed.

Next, the couple sped to the hospital, where their healthy daughter debuted within hours.

Amanda and Britton have named their little princess, Savannah Renee Chism.

Interestingly, the numerology of the experience is uncanny.

Seager’s jersey number is 5, and coincidentally, Savannah was born on the fifth at a hospital off Highway 5, weighing in at five pounds and 14 ounces.

“I’ve already changed my passcodes and everything,” Britton added, humorously acknowledging the newfound significance of the number 5 in their family’s narrative.
