In addition to the empire head coach Nick Saban has built at the University of Alabama with its Division I college football program, Saban is building a car dealership empire. What can’t this man do? His success on the field has translated to being equally as successful outside of the football field as a savvy entrepreneur.
Saban is a proud owner of 10 car dealerships that employ at least 500 people. Not to mention, his dealerships have high-class vehicles such as Mercedes Benz’s and Ferrari’s. Per Joe Pompliano of The Joe Pomp Show, Saban recently closed a $700 million deal to add two Florida dealerships to his portfolio.
Pompliano cited Saban’s decision to partner with Joe Agresti in 2013 as a large reason the empire has grown to what it is today. Agresti owned a car dealership in Louisiana at that point and the two decided to join forces to create Dream Motor Group.
Dream Motor Group has become so successful over the last decade to the point that they were able to open several dealerships across multiple states, including Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida.
It’s a remarkable story and even more incredible to think Saban finds the time for this endeavor while running the most prestigious college football program in the nation. It is a testament to Saban’s work ethic and his commitment to excellence, which has been illustrated by not only his 17 years at Alabama but what he’s accomplished off the field as well.
