“People may think we’re a bad football team, we’re not a bad football team” Kyler Murray ready to put Arizona Cardinals in his back as he gets ready for return to action Sunday

The Arizona Cardinals are so strong this season, like Atlas, they are carrying the entire league on their shoulders.

The Cardinals are jointly the worst performing team this season going 1-8, and along with the Panthers are struggling to gel.

Arizona will face the 4-5 Falcons this weekend and will be busting for a win.

They will welcome quarterback Kyler Murray back to the fold after 11 months in the doldrums of injury purgatory.

Murray believes the team can change their fortunes, starting this weekend, stating “We’re really not that far off.

“Obviously, people may think we’re a bad football team. We’re not a bad football team.”

Murray was the no. 1 pick of the 2019 draft and in 2022 signed a mega deal to stay at the Cardinals.

He signed a five-year extension worth $230.5 million.

The issue is not whether he can turn around a losing season but if he can impress there may be other options opening up for both the franchise and the player.

He started his first season as of destined for glory winning the NFL Rookie of the Season and leading the Cardinals to 11 wins.

But with two great quarterbacks coming up high in the 2024 draft his future may not be as secure as the dollar signs would have us believe.
