After nearly an entire calendar year of rehabbing, Arizona Cardinals franchise quarterback Kyler Murray returned in Week 10 from his torn ACL he suffered last season and made an immediate impact, leading a late-game fourth-quarter comeback that propelled his team to victory. After the game, Murray was all smiles, saying he was “just happy” to be back on the field in time to help his team win.

With just over two minutes remaining in the Cardinals’ Week 10 win over the Atlanta Falcons, Murray and the Cardinals offense trotted back onto the field and the former drove the latter down the field to set up the game-winning field goal for kicker Matt Prater. It was a fairy tale story for Murray to march down the field and help the Cardinals secure a victory in his return to NFL action off a major knee injury.

After the game, Murray was quick to acknowledge just how incredible of a story it is, while also making it clear that the comeback story means nothing if the Cardinals don’t win games: “I just want to win,” Murray told reporters. “I’m just happy for us and the team, man,” Murray added.

Murray completed 19 of his 32 pass attempts for 249 yards and an interception in addition to providing six carries for 33 yards and a touchdown through the ground. It wasn’t a perfect game for Murray by any means, but he did what he needed to do to ensure his team emerged victorious.

The 25-23 victory over the Falcons doubled the Cardinals win total on the season, improving their record to 2-8.
