During the San Francisco 49ers" dominant 34-3 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, defensive lineman Arik Armstead had much to celebrate.

However, his joy was dulled by an incident involving Jaguars right guard Brandon Scherff. Armstead sustained a knee injury after being kicked by Scherff during a pass rush.

In the first quarter of the game, while aiming to put pressure on Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence, Arik Armstead sustained a knee injury.

Upon reviewing the tape, Armstead realized that it was Brandon Scherff"s kick that caused the injury. This incident left Armstead frustrated and disappointed, believing that Scherff"s actions were beyond fair play.

Armstead revealed that he had great respect for Scherff as a player but felt that his conduct during the game crossed a line.

"He tripped me, kicked me in my knee and kind of messed up my day. . . . I didn’t know what happened," Armstead said, via Matt Maiocco of NBCSportsBayArea.com. "I have a lot of respect for him, but tripping me, kicking me in my knee, [I] could have got seriously hurt. It was just a dirty play."

Despite the setback, Armstead returned to the game and contributed positively to the 49ers" victory. Throughout the remainder of the game, he recorded three tackles and a half-sack in just 34 defensive snaps.

Following the game, Armstead reassured fans that his injury was not severe and that he expects to be ready to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 11.

As of now, there has been no public response from Brandon Scherff regarding the allegations made by Arik Armstead.

It remains to be seen whether Scherff will address the incident or offer an apology for his actions during the game.
