Marissa Lawrence, wife of Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence, found herself at the receiving end of a hateful message from a fan.

On her 24th birthday, as Trevor posted a tribute on Instagram, a vile fan decided to ruin what should have been a joyous occasion.

Alongside a photo with Marissa, Trevor Lawrence wrote:

“Happy birthday to this beauty! Can’t imagine my life without you. The more I know you, the more I love you! You’re a gem. Thanks for all you do for myself and everyone in our life – you’re incredible. I love ya.”

However, amid the well-wishes, one comment stood out for its sheer malice.

A now-deleted comment wished for the unthinkable, saying,

“Hope God takes your man. Incompetent. You’re only in it for the money anyway.”

Next, Marissa Lawrence felt compelled to address the incident.

Taking a screenshot of the comment, she posted it on her Instagram Story with a call to action to report the account:

“I don’t usually post this stuff but this is not okay…. Please report this account.”

Marissa and Trevor Lawrence share a history that dates back to their fifth-grade days.

They tied the knot in April 2021, just days before Trevor was selected as the No. 1 pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL Draft.

Since then, he has shouldered the responsibility as the starting quarterback for the team.

His career stats include a win-loss record of 18-24, a QBR of 60.6, a completion percentage of 68.3, 1,935 passing yards, 9 touchdowns, and a completion percentage of 63.8.
