Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs’ standout Patrick Mahomes, finds herself in the midst of controversy after a series of old tweets surfaced, revealing her critical stance toward pop sensation Taylor Swift.
The tweets, dating back to 2012, show Brittany expressing dissatisfaction with Swift’s songwriting choices and questioning the themes of her music.
One of the now-deleted tweets reads:
“Taylor Swift.. I wanna know when you’re gonna find something different to write about besides boys and relationships.”
The inflammatory posts have since been removed by Mrs. Mahomws, possibly in an effort to quell the growing controversy.
Adding fuel to the fire, Twitter user Jami brought attention to Brittany’s brother-in-law, Jackson Mahomes, who is currently facing charges related to an alleged assault incident.
Jami posted screenshots of the deleted tweets, urging Brittany to issue a public apology to the victim and emphasizing Taylor Swift’s potential role in supporting the cause.
“You know what would be a lot more meaningful than Brittany Mahomes deleted her Taylor hate Tweets? Brittany making a public apology to Jackson’s SA victim for trying to silence her,” the fan wrote.

Brittany’s comments have resurfaced just as the friendship between Mahomes and Swift appeared to be thriving.
The tweets from 2012 come on the heels of recent viral moments featuring Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes, where they were seen sharing a celebratory handshake during the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory over the Chargers.

Mahomes and Swift were spotted hanging out in NYC, where they were seen rubbing shoulders with A-list celebrities like Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez in October 2023.

Taylor Swift has also made her debut on Brittany Mahomes’ Instagram, with the NFL star’s wife sharing pictures from a watch party at Taylor’s NYC apartment. The sleepover was held to cheer on the Chiefs playing against the Dolphins in Germany.
