The Jets have jettisoned running back Michael Carter on Tuesday waiving goodbye and hinting there could be more players to follow.
Head coach Robert Saleh said he let go of Carter as he did not want him to “rot on the bench” and open up an opportunity for rookie Israel Abanikanda.
Saleh hinted at more personnel changes on the roster.
“There are (changes). I’m not going to get into it now, but there are,” Saleh said.
The Jets have stumbled recently after a decent run of form and offensively they have been poor, scoring the third least points in the combined AFC and NFC.
