With Deshaun Watson sidelined for the remainder of the season, the Cleveland Browns are expected to hand the starting quarterback position to P.J. Walker.

Walker, a seasoned quarterback, has already made two starts this season, winning one of them. He also replaced Watson during a game against the Indianapolis Colts and led the team to victory.

Before making his mark in the NFL, Walker played college football at Temple University. Despite going undrafted, he was signed as a free agent by the Indianapolis Colts in 2017.

Walker’s talent didn’t go unnoticed, and he was given an opportunity to showcase his skills in the XFL in 2020.

During his time with the Houston Roughnecks, Walker led the league in passing yards and touchdowns before the season was suspended.

Walker’s impressive XFL performance catapulted him into the spotlight. Some of his notable achievements include leading the XFL in passing yards and touchdowns.

His exceptional performance earned him a spot in the Mid Season All-XFL team. Furthermore, Walker set an NFL record for the longest recorded air completion in the Next Gen Stats era, throwing a pass that traveled an astonishing 67.6 yards.

He has made 325 passing attempts, completing 179 of them, resulting in a completion percentage of 55.1%. Walker has thrown six touchdowns but has also been intercepted 16 times, leading to a less impressive TD-INT ratio.

In terms of passing yards, Walker has accumulated 2,079, with a passer rating of 60.3.
