San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan firmly put a reporter in place when questioning him about quarterback Brock Purdy.
Shanahan first explained that Purdy is not receiving extra private coaching outside of the club circles, then when the reporter insisted, he snapped.
When asked if the QB, who has been admittedly poor in the past month, is receiving private sessions he said.
“I don’t know of anybody I coach who has other coaches outside of the building,” he said on a video shared on social media by NinersNation.com.
The reporter in question was as insistent as a bug in Louisiana, and pressed Shanahan on the topic, saying the HC didn’t understand the question.
“Oh, I understand, I don’t think you understand. Coaches in this building don’t talk mechanics. We’re preparing for a game plan. That’s what you do during the season. Getting ready for the offense we’re running. It’s about football and preparing for the game.”
The 49ers got their season back on track with a 34-3 blowout win against the Jaguars leaving both teams on 6-3 respectively.
The San Francisco team top the NFC West and next take on the unpredictable Buccaneers in week 11 action.
