The Chargers head coach Brandon Staley is confident his team can shed a shocking defensive performance last out when they take on the Packers.
The Chargers defensive frailties were on full display in their 41-38 loss to the Detroit Lions in week 10.
Against the rampant offense of the Lions the Chargers allowed 533 yards without sacking quarterback Jared Goff, nor winning any turnovers.
Asked if he has considered changing anything in their next game he told Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times, “We have not”.
“We believe in how we play, and we believe in the guys that we’re playing with. You’re going to make adjustments throughout the year but nothing significant.”
More significant views have come from Chargers players including cornerback Ja’Sir Taylor and linebacker Kenneth Murray.
Taylor said they “sit in the film room week after week fixing the same mistakes.”
Murray said, “we all feel a sense of urgency to get things fixed,” but it doesn’t look like there’s going to be trying anything radically different to make that happen.”
The Chargers sit 4-5 and will need to start winning if they want a playoff run, and it starts defensively.
