Dan Mullen, the former college football coach, has been with ESPN as a colour analyst and studio analyst for two seasons. However, recently, the former coach has touched upon the fact that there might be a possibility of him returning to his school for the coaching position.
Mullen coached the Mississippi State Bulldogs as head coach from 2009 to 2017. He has respectable stats while leading the team. In 2014, he led the team to the Orange Bowl.
Mississippi State has dismissed head coach Zach Arnett and is now open to considering other possibilities to fill the position.
According to Awful Announcing, on College Sports; SiriusXM on Wednesday, Mullen was asked whether he would consider the option of going back and subsequently, he is thinking about the option, however, at least in some way.

Mullen shared, “It’s always a great honor when you get mentioned in this stuff,”
“The people of Mississippi are so special, and they hold a special place in my heart. I would say you never say never. You never say never, but I don’t know if this is the right time.”
In talking to several close to the situation, Dan Mullen is not a candidate for @AlabamaFTBL’s OC job. Mullen has enjoyed the time away from coaching to be with his family and also wants to concentrate on his TV career as a football analyst.

Mullen was also a potential name for Alabama for the position of offensive coordinator. However, according to Chris Low of ESPN, Mullen’s sole focus was his career in TV.
Mullen’s going back for the gridiron is solely his own choice; nevertheless, the former coach is enjoying his career with ESPN as an analyst as well.
