Cornerback Mike Hilton believes playoff football is still on the cards for Bengals via wildcard spot after falling behind in divisional standings, and losing Joe Burrow

Bengals cornerback Mike Hilton does not think his team can win division and is holding out for a playoff spot despite losing QB Joe Burrow to a first half injury.

This comes fresh off the Cincinnati team’s 34-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

The Bengals now sit 5-5 while conference rivals the Ravens are at 8-3.

Worse news for the Bengals is the right wrist injury suffered by star quarterback Joe Burrow.

“It’s big. He’s a top two quarterback in this league,” Hilton told Bengals.com. “It definitely makes it harder, but no excuses. Next man up. Especially on the defense and we have to turn our notch up a little more and try to get our offense on short fields.

“We feel like he’ll be ready for next week. The division might be out of reach, but we still have a chance to get to the playoffs and that’s our main goal. I feel like if we get to the playoffs, we’ll be a scary team to face.”

Ja’Marr Chase, wide receiver of Cincinnati had this to say on Burrow’s injury.

“Not something I was expecting, it was just tough seeing that happen.

“I don’t know, it’s part of football – next man up. … New guys gotta step up, we gotta adjust.”

The Ravens may have won but they also lost with their tight end Mark Andrews set to miss the rest of the season with a serious ankle injury.
