Chargers coach Brandon Staley is defiant in his ability to call defensively, despite the team’s 23-20 loss to the Packers.
The head coach was firm in his response to reporters after the game, but Safety Alohi Gilman expressed the feeling of the locker room with more emotion and frustration.
“We just fed up,” Gilman told Kris Rhim of ESPN.com. “Something’s got to change.”
Staley was adamant in the team’s play style and is confident the LA team can turn their season around.
“Like I’ve told you from the beginning, I have full confidence in our way of playing. Full confidence in myself as the play caller, in the way that we teach and the way that we scheme. Full confidence in that,” a charged-up Staley said.
“We got to bring this group together and do it consistently. … And that’s where it’s at.
“So you can stop asking that question, OK? I’m going to be calling the defenses … so we’re clear. So you don’t have to ask that again.”
The Packers improved to 4-6, and identical record to the Chargers.
The LA team have a tough assignment in week 12 against the tough as teak Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Footbal.
