“I’ll give up AR for Zach” Gilbert Arenas Suggests Lakers Consider Austin Reeves in Potential Zach LaVine Trade

The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off a victory in their last confrontation against the Houston Rockets. They defeated the Rockets with a 105-104 score, and the game saw one of the best performances given by none other than the superstar of the NBA, LeBron James.

However, the team that has a long history of being in the top throes of the NBA had somewhat of a shaky start. They lost three games and then started their journey of winning back-to-back games.

To compete among the elites of the NBA once again, the team is eyeing adding another credible player to their roster. While discussing the trade targets, one of the names that is popping up for the Lakers is Zach LaVine.

The former NBA talent Gilbert Arenas has offered his insight on how the Lakers should move with this acquisition. For LaVine, the teams that are coming upfront are the Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers, and Los Angeles Lakers.

Arenas shared, “I like AR, but for Zach,” Arenas said. “I’ll give up AR for Zach. Because at the end of the day, I still have DLo being DLo with Zach and Bron (James) and AD (Anthony Davis). … I wanna keep DLo because I don’t know if AR is aggressive enough to be the point guard.”

According to Gilbert Arenas, the one player who should be traded for LaVine is Austin Reeves. The former talent of the Wizards and three-time NBA All-Star Arenas believes that the Lakers will be on the good side by keeping D’Angelo Russell.

However, the Lakers have not disclosed their plans regarding Reeves. The shooting guard has signed a four-year, $56 million contract with the Lakers. Reeves is currently averaging 13.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in the current NBA season.
