The latest major network to pause its advertising on Platform X, formerly known as Twitter, is Fox Sports. Companies like Disney, which has ESPN and ABC under it; Comcast, which controls NBC; and CBS’s parent company, Paramount Global, had all paused their advertising on Platform X.
The founder, chairman, CEO, and chief technology officer of SpaceX, Elon Musk, has garnered attention due to his remarks in the case of certain people in the wake of the current situation.
Other major controlling companies that had followed the same temporary cease action included Apple, Discovery, IBM, Lionsgate, Ubisoft, Paris Hilton’s 11:11 Media, and Warner Bros., and the latest to join them is Fox Sports Network.
There is a large graveyard filled with my enemies.
I do not wish to add to it, but will if given no choice.
Those who pick fights with me do so at their own peril, but maybe this is their lucky day …

In response, the owner of Platform X posted on the site as well. Musk shared, “There is a large graveyard filled with my enemies. I do not wish to add to it, but will if given no choice. Those who pick fights with me do so at their own peril, but maybe this is their lucky day …”
At risk of stating the obvious, anyone advocating the genocide of *any* group will be suspended from this platform

Musk also shared, “At risk of stating the obvious, anyone advocating the genocide of *any* group will be suspended from this platform”
Media Matters President Angelo Carusone, via CNN, expressed, regarding the situation, “Far from the free speech advocate he claims to be, Musk is a bully who threatens meritless lawsuits in an attempt to silence reporting that he even confirmed is accurate,”
“Musk admitted the ads at issue ran alongside the pro-Nazi content we identified.”
However, one of the biggest sponsors of Platform X, the NFL, has not followed any of the companies in pausing their advertising as they choose not to suspend their presence.
The much-adored and revered National Football League has been with Platform X since 2013. With such a fruitful partnership, the League wants to continue moving forward with them.
As per Awful Announcing, Brian Rolapp, who is the NFL chief media and business officer, shared with CNBC’s Julia Boorstin, “I think X is in a very difficult business because of the content moderation that they have to deal with” and “We continue to work with them because our fans are clearly there.”
NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy also shared, “The NFL unequivocally denounces all forms of hate speech and discrimination.”
“We’re aware of instances of hate speech on X and have expressed our concerns directly to X both in the past and again in the last few days.”
