During the Black Friday clash between the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins, a fierce brawl erupted on the field.
The skirmish took place immediately after the Dolphins successfully kicked an extra point.
Tensions between the two teams had been simmering since an earlier altercation sparked by Raheem Mostert’s touchdown run, which extended Miami’s lead to a commanding 27-6.
The animosity reached a boiling point during the latest scuffle, with Jets’ defensive lineman Michael Clemons taking center stage.
Clemons, seemingly singling out Dolphins lineman Lester Cotton, inadvertently struck referee Carl Paganelli in the face while gesturing toward his opponent.
Paganelli, caught in the crossfire as he attempted to separate the feuding players, ended up bloodied in the melee.

The aftermath of the brawl saw two players ejected from the game.
Clemons, the instigator of the incident, faced a 15-yard penalty for making contact with an official.
Joining him in an early exit from the game was Dolphins offensive lineman Austin Jackson.
Meanwhile, though not ejected, C.J. Mosley incurred a penalty for roughness.
The on-field drama took a toll on the Jets, both physically and on the scoreboard, as they succumbed to a 34-13 defeat at the hands of the Dolphins.
This latest loss marks the fourth consecutive setback for the struggling Jets, whose once-promising season is rapidly slipping away.
