Lane Johnson injury update: Eagles RT ‘questionable’ for upcoming game against the Bills due to a groin injury

The Philadelphia Eagles are standing impressively in the season with a 9-1 score and are leading the NFC East division. They are coming strong after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 17-21.

However, their right tackle, four-time Pro Bowler Lane Johnson, has now been on the questionable side in the game against the Buffalo Bills as he sustained a groin injury.

According to Pro Football Talk, Johnson was not put on an injury list through the week and he has played in all the games in the current NFL season.

The Eagles, in place of Johnson, have Jack Driscoll, and throughout his initial three seasons with the squad, Driscoll started 16 games. In this NFL season, the backup, Driscoll, has played 67 offensive plays.

EJ Smith of the Philadelphia Inquirer also shared, “#Eagles RT Lane Johnson is questionable today with a groin injury. He was a full participant in practice all week but reported groin soreness to trainers this morning. He’s got an MRI scheduled.”

In the game against the New York Jets, the right tackle exited the game after sustaining an ankle injury and was replaced by Jack Driscoll. His presence certainly gives a boost to the Eagles squad and they can only hope for a better outcome.

Other Eagles players who have sustained injuries and are currently ruled out are safety Justin Evans, defensive tackle Milton Williams, tight end Grant Calcaterra, and tight end Dallas Goedert.
