In the end who will sign Ohtani and his destination is more of clouds and it still remains as an unknown conclusion.

The resolution is far from concluded however MLB experts Mark Feinsand and Jon Paul Morosi answered some of the critical questions for many of the fans.

On the question of who is the favorite to sign Ohtani two-time MVP Feinsand said,

“Although a number of teams are planning to take their shot at Ohtani — the Mets, Giants, Cubs, Red Sox, Rangers and Angels among them — I would still take the Dodgers against the field

.”

Morosi added,

“No MLB team has a better chance of signing Ohtani than the Dodgers, yet I do not believe their probability surpasses the 50% threshold. The Dodgers’ advantages are well-documented: Their status as a perennial playoff team will appeal to Ohtani, who has yet to appear in the MLB postseason.”

Ohtani hit .304 with 1.066 OPS with 44 homers and 95 RBIs last season. As a pitcher, he went 10-5 with a 3.14 ERA before tearing the UCL in his pitching elbow.
