“I don’t regret for a second leaning into it.” – Colin Cowherd loved the Colorado Boulder hype this season and would do it all over again, as he believes in coach Prime

Popular anchor Colin Cowherd is not sorry he was fully aboard the Colorado hype train earlier this season and would happily climb on the Deion Sanders bandwagon again.

He was speaking on the latest episode of The Herd, where he says that despite a losing season, watching Sanders rebuild the program is just as exciting.

“Deion didn’t win enough,” Cowherd admitted on Tuesday. “But I will say this in support of him, I thought September Deion, Colorado was great. It was new, it was fresh, it was fun. I don’t regret for a second leaning into it.

“I love new stuff. They were the most-watched team in college football for five weeks. They were a little bit like a TikTok trend, wild for about 24 hours, and then they fade into irrelevance. But that’s OK.”

The Boulder Buffaloes started the season sensationally going 3-0 early doors, but a few losses brought the team down a notch or two, nothing unexpected in college football.

“Nick Saban lost to Louisiana-Monroe his first year at Alabama. This stuff is hard,” Cowherd argued. “Society is filled with people on the sidelines taking shots at successful people. ‘It’s so easy!’ No, it’s not, it’s hard.”

Cowherd gave the Colorado team and coach Prime plenty of airtime continuing, “Deion Sanders is realizing what all Colorado football coaches eventually realize.

“It’s hard to build a great roster in Boulder, the athletic department doesn’t have a lot of money and support, the state does not provide a lot of great high school football players.”

Sanders will do better next season, as he gets a chance to build a team from the bottom and take them to winning season.
