“I give props to him than anybody right now” LeBron James Pays Homage to Michael Jordan’s Remarkable Comeback in High School Diary

The nineteen-time NBA All-Star, LeBron James, has been reaching great heights at this level of his career. He is in his 21st season and at the age of 39, he is posting impressive numbers—a feat very few have achieved in the NBA before.

LeBron James has recently expressed his appreciation for Michael Jordan’s 38-year-old self. James’s messages could be easily interpreted with his respect and devotion towards “His Airness”.

His comeback with the Washington Wizards truly awed the current NBA superstar and he wrote about that in his diary which he penned in his high school during the 2001–02 NBA season.

According to Wenatchee World via Slam Magazine, the four-time MVP, wrote “One other thing — people been asking me about Jordan’s comeback,”

“Me, I’m loving it. A man 38 years old and still averaging 25-plus points? I mean, they losing a lot, but they on pace to win more than they did last year. I give props to him than anybody right now.”

James further wrote and acknowledged the hardships the Wizards had to deal with while appreciating Jordan’s performance. By that time, James was a junior at St. Vincent-St. Mary and was becoming a known figure who had extraordinary basketball skills.

The four-time NBA champion, through his thoughts, demonstrated his consideration for what Jordan was still achieving at his age and his endurance, which made him different from all the prominent talents in the NBA.

When Jordan returned to the NBA, the performance he gave was notable; however, many were anticipating how the legend would play as he was nearing such an age. Nevertheless, “His Airness” scored 19 points in his first game and in the second game he posted 31 points.

A major shock occurred throughout the league when the legend scored 44 points in his next game. James’ journal entry gives generational reverence to the most prominent player in the league, Jordan. He also embraced the impact he had on the NBA.

It is evident that Jordan took basketball around the globe and reached a level of fame with the sport. However, the two superstars never crossed paths in the game.
