Before they were teammates on the New York Knicks, Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart spent two seasons together at Villanova during their college basketball days, winning a National Championship in the 2015-16 campaign. As a result, the two have become very close friends both on and off the court and their latest social media exchange sums up their relationship.
Brunson and Hart love to mess with each other. So, when a social media post on X (also known as Twitter) by New York Basketball (@NBA_NewYork) was shared with a video of Hart’s highlights against the Portland Trail Blazers in a game last season with the caption: "On this night a year ago Josh Hart had 19 rebounds in the Garden," Hart made a comment aimed at Brunson.
"Should have been 20 [rebounds] but a fat headed point guard was flopping," Hart said in response to the video.
The "fat-headed point guard" Hart is referring to is Brunson. When Brunson caught wind of the response, he made sure to clap back at Hart.
"At least @ me breast milk lover," Brunson said in response to Hart’s comment. Brunson is referring to when Hart admitted to trying his partner’s breast milk shortly after the birth of his child.
Brunson won’t let Hart live that down and it’s great to see these two joke around with one another. Their camaraderie off the court translates to their success on the court and this likely won’t be the last time they exchange jokes on social media.
