Patriots HC Bill Belichick Keeps Quarterback Situation in Flux, Practice Performance to Determine Starting Role

The New England Patriots were keeping quiet about their quarterback in the game against the New York Giants. Their secret on the quarterback, however, did not provide them with any advantage, as they lost their match against the Giants.

Mac Jones was their starting quarterback in the game against the Giants; unfortunately, he threw two interceptions in the first half and was later taken off the game.

He was replaced by Bailey Zappe and he started the third quarter and had a touchdown drive. He later threw an interception and eventually, the Giants were victorious in the game.

The head coach of the Patriots, Bill Belichick, also shared, “I’m not going to make any announcements on our lineup at any position,”

“So, it doesn’t matter what the position is. We’ll see how practice goes, see if everybody is ready to go. Hopefully everybody is ready to go, see what the injury situation is, and we’ll go with who we think is best on Sunday.”

He also expressed that he doesn’t “think anybody has performed well enough” and that the Patriots are keeping their plans to themselves.

The New England Patriots are faring in the same way in which they were earlier and Belichick has also expressed that he “didn’t say” that they would be using the same plans they earlier had.

The Patriots are having a tumultuous season and stand with a 2-9 record, and the next team they will face is the Los Angeles Chargers. They stand in the season with 4-7.
