NFL free agent, Antonio Brown is once again in the news. This time, he unleashed a barrage of verbal jabs aimed squarely at his former team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In a tweet, Brown cryptically pondered his football fate:

“Should I retire a Steeler or Tampon Bay Buc Fuc …….?!!”

Brown’s dramatic termination in Week 17 of the 2021-2022 NFL season by Tampa Bay, has clearly given rise to this attack.

Apparently, in Week 17 of the 2021-2022 segment, Brown shed his uniform and exited the field mid-game, prompting Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians to declare, “Brown is no longer a Buc.”

Arians, visibly bewildered, recounted the bizarre sequence of events, stating he had never witnessed anything like it in all his years in the league.

Quarterback Tom Brady, during a postgame press conference, expressed love and concern for Brown but conceded that his future with the team was now in doubt.

Days later, Brown fired back, alleging a cover-up by Arians and the Buccaneers regarding the extent of his injuries.

According to Brown, an MRI revealed severe damage to his ankle, including broken bone fragments, torn ligaments, and cartilage loss.

He announced his intention to undergo surgery, a decision that ultimately led to his release on January 6, 2022.

Fast forward to March 2, 2023, Brown declared his retirement from professional football.

However, true to his unpredictable nature, Brown reversed this decision on April 28, 2023.

As of now, Antonio Brown is a free agent, and his future in the NFL remains uncertain.

It’s essential to note that Brown’s rollercoaster career has been marred by off-field controversies, including accusations of sexual assault, legal troubles involving a moving truck incident, allegations of exposing himself, domestic violence claims, and financial issues during his ownership of the Albany Empire.

Now, the latest salvo in the ongoing drama sees him openly disparaging the Buccaneers.

Antonio Brown had a prolific 12-season career in the NFL, playing for:

  • Pittsburgh Steelers (20102018)
  • Oakland Raiders (2019)
  • New England Patriots (2019)
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers (20202021)

Drafted by the Steelers in the 6th round of the 2010 NFL Draft, Brown quickly made an impact, returning a kickoff for a touchdown in his rookie season and contributing to the Steelers reaching the Super Bowl.

Over his career, Brown accumulated impressive stats, including 928 receptions, 12,291 receiving yards, and 88 touchdowns. He excelled in punt returns as well, with 187 returns for 1,761 yards.

Brown earned numerous accolades, making the Pro Bowl seven times and winning one championship.

He led the league in receiving yards in 2014 and 2017, receptions in 2014 and 2015, and had 74 receiving touchdowns.

Notably, he achieved over 1,000 receiving and returning yards in the same year.
