“I could take your wife if I want” – Ex-NFL star Dez Bryant bashes CBS Sports host over ESPN’s Josh Giddey coverage

On November 28, former NFL star Dez Bryant took to X (née Twitter) to publicly call out Malika Andrews, host of NBA Today and NBA Countdown on ESPN, for what he perceived as a lack of coverage regarding an alleged inappropriate relationship involving Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey and an underage girl.

Bryant didn’t mince words in his tweet, directing his criticism at Andrews:

“You went out your way to crucify Brandon Miller on draft day over something he didn’t even do. Why haven’t you said nothing about Josh Giddey? I advise you not to make this a black-or-white thing. Your parents really raised you wrong and just because you went to a private school doesn’t make you better. You appeal and I know your kind. You are just a puppet. I don’t know how a former or current NBA player could sit there across from you and look at you with some kind of respect.”

Brandon Miller, an NBA prospect from the University of Alabama, had previously been thrust into the spotlight after being involved in a fatal shooting on January 15, resulting in the death of 23-year-old Jamea Jonae Harris. He was described as a ‘cooperating witness.’

However, Miller was selected by the Charlotte Hornets with the second overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft.

Next, CBS Sports’ Chris Williamson joined the fray, responding to Bryant’s tweet with a confused remark:

“How you have more smoke for Malika Andrews than Josh Giddey who got “DATING an UNDERAGED girl” allegations the NBA is looking into?”

Josh Giddey, the sixth pick in the 2021 NBA draft, is currently facing an investigation regarding allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a girl named Liv Cook. The controversy gained public attention when Snapchat pictures of Giddey and Cook emerged with an NSFW caption.

In response to Williamson’s last post, Dez Bryant fired back saying:

“She married bro she doesn’t want you I got smoke with her because she tried to ruin Brandon Miller’s draft moment He’s going to have kids one day and I’m sure that clip will appear again… You media people know exactly what y’all are doing Don’t ask questions like I’m not hip to the bullshit.”

Chris Williamson was not ready to let go and came up with a scathing reply, saying:

“The level of intelligence in this tweet is so low it should be criminal.”

Undeterred, Bryant shot back at Williamson, adopting a confrontational tone:

“You go low, I’ll go lower. I got more money than you..I can do what I want … say what I want whenever I want…probably take your wife if I want. I’m a business owner/early investor in a lot of great businesses. I wouldn’t trade places with you if my life depended on it. Mr. smart guy!”

Well, the knowledge of Williamson’s marital status is also important to take into consideration since Bryant brought up his wife’s context.

In the NFL, Dez Bryant played for the Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens, and New Orleans Saints.

Before his professional career, he played with the Oklahoma State Cowboys in college.

Announcing his entry into the 2010 NFL Draft on November 5, 2009, Bryant began his rookie year with the Dallas Cowboys in 2010.

His final game occurred in Week 15 of the 2020 season against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
