The game also became the most-watched college football game of the regular season in 2023. On the Fox network, the game recorded 19.1 million viewers.
According to the Athletic, the match that achieved 20 million viewers was in 2011 between Alabama and LSU. The latest game between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan has achieved a great feat in the viewership history of Fox.

As per Front Office Sports, the second game that garnered incredible viewers was between Oregon and Colorado with 10.0 million. Next, were Ohio State and Notre Dame, with 9.98 million viewers.
Then came the match between Ohio State and Penn State, which garnered 9.96 million viewers. The viewers recorded were 9.3 million for the match between Colorado and Colorado State.
Florida State and LSU attracted 9.17 million viewers and the last team to collect huge viewership was the match between the Michigan Wolverines and Penn State with 9.16 million.
The viewership of Ohio State and Michigan increased by 11% as compared to last season’s headlock match. According to FOS, Fox Network also shares that the game was also the “most-streamed” match in the network’s history.
Other than recording such high viewership with the college season games, the network’s pregame show, “Big Noon Kickoff” also garnered 2.34 million viewers on average.
With this, the “Big Noon Kickoff” has attracted enough eyes to spearhead more viewers than ESPN’s College Game Day. This has also happened for the first time, according to FOS via Andrew Marchand.
