The comeback of the famed quarterback of the NFL, who is now with the New York Jets, Aaron Rodgers, was highly anticipated. The quarterback who suffered an Achilles injury has made a miraculous recovery and is now aiming to come back to gridiron.
The quarterback was directing himself to play in the game against the Washington Commanders.
However, his return date was a relief for Jets fans but their recent standings in the season are the cause of concern too.
The Jets are currently at 4-7 and the Washington Commanders are at 4-8. One of the voices that have opposed Rodgers’ comeback is Mike Francesa. The radio host has shared what his comeback would mean for himself, the Jets, and his future as well.
After another dismal performance by the #Jets, Mike Francesa came out swinging. On the topic of @AaronRodgers12 possibly returning this year…

According to Awful Announcing, he expressed his opinions on "The Mike Francesa Podcast" on the BetRivers Network, "There is no way — if you’re the Jets — if you have an ounce of football sense in that organization, and maybe if you take everybody in the building, put them all together, and stack them up on top of each other, you may come up with an ounce or two. Those ounces have to make sure they explain to Aaron Rodgers that he’s not going anywhere NEAR the field behind this offensive line this season."
Further sharing, "There is nothing to play for. And if they do that, and he gets hurt again, they will be the laughingstocks of the history of sports, there is not a reason in the world; you tell him now, I am not putting you out there behind that offensive line. I am not putting you out there in games that don’t count towards us getting to the playoffs. And we’re not going to the playoffs. We’re 4-7. We’ve lost four games in a row, and we can’t score, and we can’t protect the quarterback. And we can’t play an offensive football game.
"You are not running this offense this year, get ready for next year. We’re turning the page; and if that puts you into some major pout and you want to go on [Pat] McAfee’s show and say you’re finished with the Jets, then go do it! Because I am not allowing you, if I have one say, and if I have an idea about what to do about football, I am not allowing you anywhere near the field this year. So get that through your head!
"Because if anybody lets him near the field in a meaningless game behind that offensive line, they should be fired the same day."
"His goal to come back: mid-December. He said, 'I know it sounds insane. But you do a good surgery, you have a good patient, it makes this possible.'" pic.twitter.com/fzESpa7Ste

Melissa Stark, the sideline reporter earlier, also expressed that the quarterback is aiming for a December comeback. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has also reported that there are chances of Aaron Rodgers practising.

However, the Jets have a competent defensive line but they need strong offense to lead the season as well. This NFL season saw the Jets clutching for their offence line to work.
Francesca, on the lines of his recovery and the future of the Jets this season, has said that his return will make no difference and the quarterback should secure his chances.
The recovery period from the Achilles injury is a long one; however, the quarterback is making a miraculous recovery, which has stunned many in the league and outside of it.
