The Florida State Seminoles have recently defeated the Louisville Cardinals and were crowned the ACC Champions. However, according to a recent report, the Seminoles have been excluded from the College Football Playoff.
There have been questions raised and blowback given to the College Football Playoff Selection Committee as to why they have left the undefeated squad in the season from the playoff.
However, ESPN’s analyst, Booger McFarland, has expressed his dislike with the decision to leave behind the Florida State Seminoles and go with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
McFarland was straightforward while expressing his dissent and put forward his question about why the College Football Playoff Selection Committee led by chairman Eugene Boo Corrigan would take SEC Champions Alabama 12-1 over ACC champions Seminoles 13-0.
Booger McFarland is not happy that Alabama got into the CFP over an undefeated Florida State team.

As per Yahoo Sports, McFarland shared his thoughts on ESPN’s selection show and said, “To me, this is a travesty to the sport. Because we go out there on the field and we play the game. And regardless of if it looks good at the quarterback position, regardless of if we win with offense, whether we win with defense, the name of the game is to win.”
“And there’s a reason (that) never before this has been done. Winning a Power Five conference, going undefeated and not getting into the playoff. I understand we want to look at style points. And who we’re gonna get for the best matchups. But that’s not what this is about. This is about understanding to get the four best teams. One team has a loss, and that’s Alabama. One team doesn’t, in Florida State.”
“And the fact that this committee could take a Power Five conference champion that’s undefeated, those kids have gone out there and busted their behind and not get into the playoff based on the eye test. Mind you, this is the same Alabama team that who needed a prayer in Jordan-Hare to beat an Auburn team that lost to New Mexico State. That’s really what has me bothered now.”
However, Boo Corrigan has said that the injury sustained by the Florida quarterback, Jordan Travis, which ended his season was a deciding element while taking the decision.
The quarterback’s injury came in the game between the Seminoles and North Alabama. Tate Rodemaker, another quarterback for the Seminoles was also injured. The Seminoles nevertheless defeated Louisville with Brock Glenn, third quarterback.
