The owner of a sandwich chain called Ike’s Love & Sandwiches is so excited about the possibility of Shohei Ohtani joining the San Francisco Giants that he’s willing to make some big promises. This huge Giants fan, Ike Shehadeh, declared that if Ohtani signs with the Giants, he’ll change the name of every Ike’s Love & Sandwiches location to “Shohei’s Love & Sandwiches.” Even though he hasn’t heard from Ohtani yet, Ike says he’s getting lots of love from Giants fans for this idea. He estimates it might cost him around $500k, but he’s totally up for it.

Ike also shared that Kevin Durant still gets free sandwiches from his chain, even though he’s no longer with the Golden State Warriors. Ike’s Love & Sandwiches founder has made similar offers to other athletes like Aaron Judge and Durant in the past.

So, Giants fans are going all out to convince Ohtani to join their team, offering him free sandwiches for life and even a sandwich shop rebranding if he decides to play for the Giants in the upcoming season. Ike has even started thinking about creating a special sandwich for Ohtani, taking inspiration from the Giants’ orange and black colors for a tasty steak and barbecue combo.

Ohtani, the two-time MVP, is considering his options, with the Giants being a realistic landing spot along with other teams like the Dodgers, Mets, Cubs, and Rangers in the mix. Giants fans are crossing their fingers and making delicious offers to win Ohtani over.
