Stephen A. Smith is one of the faces of American sport but could be walking away from ESPN after watching relative newcomers overtake his salary.
Smith believes he should be the highest paid ESPN anchor, after watching Pat McAfee and Troy Aikman leap past him on the salary scale.
The First Take host told Clay Travis he was ready to walk if the broadcaster and Disney do not come to the party.
Smith also appears on ESPN SportsCenter and NBA Countdown.
Smith is only the ninth best paid sports anchor, with Jim Rome, Tony Romo and soon to be Tom Brady leading the pile.
