Cowboys Head Coach, Mike McCarthy, has recently been diagnosed with appendicitis an occurrence that could potentially influence the dynamics of the upcoming games.
Despite this sudden upset, McCarthy is displaying an admirable level of courage with his decision to coach the next match this Sunday.
The Cowboys announced today that McCarthy would undergo surgery to treat his appendicitis.
“Dallas Cowboys Head Coach Mike McCarthy experienced abdominal pain this morning that warranted further evaluation and resulted in a diagnosis of acute appendicitis,” the Cowboys said in a statement. “He is currently slated for surgery this afternoon, expected to be released later today, and anticipates coaching on Sunday night. The Cowboys’ three coordinators will run practice today and until McCarthy returns.”

Currently, the Cowboys hold a 9-3 record and are hoping to extend their winning spree to a fifth consecutive game.
Sunday’s upcoming game against the Philadelphia Eagles may just be the crucial tie-breaker that pushes the Cowboys into the lead for the NFC East.
Despite the sudden absence of McCarthy, the Cowboys are optimistic that their fighting spirit will remain intact.
Quinn even remarked, “You think that tough Irishman is going to miss this game? We’re certainly anticipating Mike getting back for the game.” “We’ll handle it and hold it down for practices. Knowing him, he’ll be online tonight, wanting to go through the red zone and third down and everything else. We certainly expect him to be rocking by game day.”
During McCarthy’s brief absence, the coaching responsibilities will be equally distributed among the three coordinators Dan Quinn, Brian Schottenheimer, and John Fassel.
This ensures that practice sessions and strategies remain unaffected.
