Last year, the Rams" coach, Sean McVay, wasn"t doing so well. But this year, things have turned around. His team is unexpectedly in the running for the playoffs with a 6-6 record. They even beat the Seahawks and won three games in a row, including a recent victory over the Browns.
When asked if he"s having a blast coaching, McVay said it"s probably one of the most enjoyable times for him. He emphasized the importance of staying true to the person you want to be and cherishing the love for the game. Last year, things were tough for him, and he even thought about leaving. If a broadcasting job worth $20 million a year was available, he might have taken it.
"I think a lot of the perspective that we’ve talked a little bit about is just never forgetting how important it is to try to be the person you want to be for the people that you love and care about. And also, be reminded, man, you love this game. You love the opportunity to work with people you care about and the competition of it. And it’s not exclusive to just loving the wins, it’s loving everything that comes with it, responding to the challenges. I know this, I am loving it because of the people that I’m around and then some of the perspective that the experience that you’re accumulating as a young guy has benefited both good and bad to keep learning and keep growing." : McVay said

Looking ahead, McVay believes in the confidence his team has gained, especially after beating the Browns. He stressed that confidence needs to be earned every week in the NFL, and the team is focused on improving. The upcoming games against Baltimore, the Commanders, and the Saints pose challenges, but McVay is excited about the competition.
Right now, the Rams are in the playoff mix, and if they secure the No. 6 seed, they could be a formidable opponent for the Lions. The remaining games against the Giants and the 49ers will be crucial for their playoff hopes.
