Now, in an exclusive interview with TIME’s Sam Lansky, the pop sensation, opened up about her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs’ All-Pro tight end, Travis Kelce.
Swift revealed that the sparks began to fly after Kelce playfully called her out on his podcast in late July.
The Grammy-winning singer found the whole experience “metal as hell” and expressed her appreciation for the unforeseen romance that ensued.
“We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple,” Swift shared with Time.
Their undercover blossoming romance allowed Swift and Kelce to bond away from the public eye.

In November, Kelce, went above and beyond by jetting off to Argentina during his bye week to stand by Taylor’s side during another leg of the Eras Tour.
During her performance in Argentina Taylor playfully altered the lyrics of “Karma,” affectionately referring to Travis as “the guy on the Chiefs.”
