“Mitch has been in that position before. He knows the system,” – Steelers receiver Diontae Johnson has faith in QB Mitch Trubisky

Mitch Trubisky will make his first start of the season at quarterback for the Steelers when they take on the Patriots on TNF.

The 2017 second overall pick by the Bears gets his start after the injury picked up by regular Kenny Pickett.

The Steelers have full faith in the former 2018 Pro Bowler, who also spent a year at the Bills.

Receiver Diontae Johnson has full faith in Trubisky.

"Mitch has been in that position before. He knows the system," Johnson told Teresa Varley of the team’s website.

"It’s not like we just brought someone in to fill the spot. The offense has full confidence in Mitch, that he is going to get the job done this Thursday. Us guys on the outside, [we] feel the same way."

The QB has an all time 31-24 record when starting and will be making his third appearance of the season for Pittsburgh, throwing for 29 from 49.

The 7-5 Steelers will be looking for another win to take them closer to a potential playoff spot while the Patriots will want to pick up just their third win of the season.
