Earlier this year, there were whispers surrounding a Super Bowl alternate broadcast on Nickelodeon, but no official word emerged initially about the Nickmas game.
Paramount has confirmed that Noah Eagle and Nate Burleson will be in the spotlight, announcing the CBS NFL Christmas Day Game on Nickelodeon.
The designated duo to head this immensely popular broadcast are Noah Eagle and Nate Burleson. Their voices will bring the game to life for Nickelodeon’s audiences.
Dylan Schefter will grace the role of the sideline reporter, bringing up-to-date insights from the field.
Adding a zesty blend of quirky excitement, Raphael from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) will also be sharing the broadcast booth.
To simplify matters for the audience, Donatello from TMNT will serve as an explainer for any penalties that transpire during the games.
Apart from the Nickmas game, Paramount also spilled the beans about the upcoming Super Bowl Nickelodeon alternate broadcast.
Just as in the Christmas Day game, Eagle and Burleson will grace the commentator’s booth. Schefter and Young Dylan will bear the responsibility of reporting, providing viewers with real-time details on the game.
In a splendid twist, beloved Nickelodeon characters Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick Star will join in the fun and add an extra layer of entertainment to the broadcast.
Larry the Lobster will provide live commentary while Sandy Cheeks manages the sidelines. To maintain transparency and aid understanding, Dora the Explorer and Boots will explain penalties.
Over recent years, Nickelodeon has successfully aired alternate broadcasts for numerous NFL games. Its extensive history includes the NFL Wild Card game simulcast between the Saints and Bears back in 2021.
A year later, the 49ers-Cowboys Wild Card game also got a Nickelodeon simulcast. The tradition of the Nickmas game, however, is still a fresh concept that made its debut last Christmas.
Additionally, Nickelodeon hosts a weekly NFL show, entitled NFL Slimetime, with Burleson serving as its host.
