In a recent Instagram post on December 2, Jilly Anais, the girlfriend of NFL quarterback Deshaun Watson, found herself at the center of controversy after boasting about her alleged achievements in competitive cheerleading and dance.
However, a college mate, Kailey Walton, quickly called her out for what seems to be a story of fake success.
Apparently, Jilly Anais took to Instagram to promote Estee Lauder Futurist Skin Tint Serum with a “Get Ready with Me” for Game Day.
In the accompanying narrative, she recounted a story from her youth where she claimed to be such an integral part of both a competitive cheer squad and dance team that the cheer competition was purportedly moved from 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM to accommodate her schedule, ultimately leading to their first-place finish.
However, Kailey Walton, a possible former teammate from the Dawson cheer team, refuted Jilly’s claims in the comment section.
Walton stated, “Girl what you weren’t on the dance team, and we never had cheer comps at 4 am… No cheer comps are happening at 4 am lol.”
Despite Jilly’s mother, Theresa attempting to defend Jilly’s narrative, Kailey stood her ground, insisting:
“They didn’t move any competitions for her. I was on the Dawson cheer team with her… she was my base actually and that never happened lol.”
Kailey also questioned the feasibility of cheer competitions starting at 4 am, emphasizing her 12 years of experience on a competitive cheer team with competitions never commencing earlier than 8:00 am.
She also challenged Jilly’s alleged involvement in a select dance team, stating, “None of us on her school cheer team ever heard anything about her doing a select dance team.”
Jilly’s mother, still defending her, attempted to distinguish between competitive cheer and school cheer, but Kailey remained resolute, asserting her firsthand.
In a final retort, Kailey remarked:
“I was on a competitive cheer team for 12 years and I was a level 5 team. Your daughter could barely do a back tuck. I’m done entertaining this but it is super cute that you will back up your daughter’s lies!!”
Jilly Anais started dating Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson in mid-2019.
Back then, Watson was playing with the Houston Texans (2017–2021).
