Former Arkansas Punishers minor league football coach Benjamin Coney (26) and his wife, Emily Brinley (25), are accused of online stalking of an underage girl and conspiracy to commit rape.
Court filings show that Coney and Brinley were caught while conversing with an undercover sheriff’s officer who purported to be a minor in the sting operation.
On Monday, November 27, the pair was arrested while driving more than 200 miles to northwest Arkansas to meet the underage girl.
Lubricant and other sexual aids were also found in Benjamin Coney and Emily Brinley’s car.
“I’m into some very f–ked up, sick taboos,” read one of the retrieved messages from the couple’s device to the undercover agent.
According to the affidavit, when the undercover cop realized he was chatting with the man, he went ahead and inquired about Coney’s wife’s sexual preferences.
“He responded she likes them young and that she wants to see him ‘f-k’ a prepubescent,” the police officer wrote in his report.
According to the affidavits, the man fantasized about being intimate with his wife while he would be sexually involved with the minor.
Law & Crime reports that they both acknowledged differing degrees of guilt in separate interviews.
“Grace stated that she was just trying to be a good wife and that she was not interested in children,” according to the affidavits.
Coney on the other hand acknowledged having child porn on his devices.
Grace also stated that during intercourse, her husband informed her that if they ever had a daughter, he would abuse her.
Meanwhile, Coney said his sick rhetoric was a dream and not something he would do, according to the affidavits.
The pair is currently being detained at the Benton County Jail on a $200,000 bail and will be arraigned on January 8.

The Arkansas Punishers announced Coney’s dismissal from the squad after the news of Benjamin and Emily’s intentions hit the news.
The Arkansas Punishers participate in the Next Level Football Alliance as a minor league football team.
Their lineup consists of numerous individuals who previously played sports at the high school and collegiate levels in various southeastern states.
