The Carolina Panthers are certainly not having a favourable NFL season and are currently standing with a 1-11 score. The Panthers also came under light recently due to their head coach, Frank Reich, being fired.
According to Pro Football Talk, The Athletic put forward a report that points out dysfunction happening within the organisation of the Carolina Panthers.
However, when the questions were put up to interim head coach Chris Tabor, in response to the question, he shared, “It’s been fine. I haven’t had a problem.”
The Athletic’s story further described the brewing difficulties within the organization, including violent disputes and clashes between employees under owner David Tepper’s supervision. An unnamed source has defined the culture of the Panthers as “Hunger Games”.
According to Panthers Wire, The Athletics, Joe Person and Dianna Russini stated in the report, “Tepper also encouraged Reich to go outside of his “circle” with some of the hires. As such, many of the offensive coaches had never worked together and brought different philosophies to an offense that would be led by a rookie quarterback from Week 1.”
“Besides the disagreements in scheme, there were personality conflicts and factions formed on a staff that included two main holdovers from Rhule’s staff — offensive line coach James Campen and special teams coordinator Chris Tabor, both of whom were retained at Tepper’s urging.”
When Reich was dismissed, Chris Tabor came in to fill his shoes and is also acting as the interim head coach of the Carolina Panthers.
After coming in, Tabor dismissed the quarterback coach, Josh McCown, and the second person to go was associate head coach Duce Staley. The directions of the running backs were also under Staley. The interim coach has also shared that the staff members are cordial as well.
