Do people really want featureless robots as NFL players?
Supporters, reporters and social media users are quick to jump on any expression, taking the context of the situation out of perspective.
This happened in the last game when the Colts edged the Titans in overtime.
Tennessee wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins fumed at quarterback Will Levis when the pair could not connect on a long pass in the first quarter.
At least the former Texans and Cardinals receiver looked upset and animated for a short period, but the pair have downplayed any tension, combining for 5 passes and 75 yards, including the game-tying touchdown.
“Maybe I forgot I was on TV,” Levis told Jim Wyatt of the team’s website. “Just one of those things that just happened. If I would’ve gone back, I would’ve been more neutral about it, for sure.
“But that’s just part of the things about being an NFL quarterback and learning along the way of how to be a leader and how to get your guys going. Definitely would’ve handled it differently if I would’ve done it again.”
A quarterback and wide receiver not seeing eye to eye on a pass and having to explain it to everyone.
Gimme a break Levis.
