“There was really nothing I could do to prevent it.” – Titans WR Burks on his second concussion of season, ahead of Dolphins game

Titans receiver Treylon Burks suffered his second concussion of the year in their October clash with the Steelers and admits he doesn"t remember much of the incident.

He has subsequently watched the tape and admits it was a bad break, and there was nothing doing in preventing it at that moment.

“Really just a bad fall," Burks told Jim Wyatt of the team website. "There was really nothing I could do to prevent it."

The former Arkansas Razorbacks player recovered well, followed the protocols and made a return to action in their week 13 loss to the Colts.

He is expected to get more play time when Tennessee clash with the Dolphins next Tuesday in week 14.

"I would say I feel good," Burks said. "Things happen, but keep going about the way that I am, and let God take care of the rest. . . . [Coach Mike Vrabel], I think he handled it the best way for the team, and for my safety. All I can do is keep leaning on [coaches and trainers] and my teammates and doing whatever is right for the team and myself."

Burks says he understands the risks associated with concussion and won"t let that stop him.

"Everybody that plays the game is vulnerable to concussions," Burks said. "I don’t really think about it that much. I just go out there and play the game, and whatever is in God’s [plan] it happens, and I know that he’ll take of [me] from here on out."

The Titans are 4-8 so there will be no playoff pressure to contend with while the Dolphins will be harboring high Superbowl hopes this season.
