Left tackle for the Giants Andrew Thomas believes his team must focus on winning game by game and not focus on the playoffs.
The New York team, led brilliant by quarterback Tommy DeVito, beat the Packers and given themselves a chance for post season glory.
If they beat the 6-7 Saints in week 15 there will be a significant change in belief but as Thomas says, they are taking it one win at a time.
“Obviously we have hopes to be in that,” Thomas told Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post. “That’s why we are in this league — to win a Super Bowl.
“But our mindset is going one game at a time. We have the Saints coming up, and that’s going to be a big one.”
Three 6-7 teams are in danger of levelling up with the Giants – with the Buccaneers playing the Packers this weekend and the Seahawks take on the wounded Eagles.
A win by the Giants over the Saints will strengthen their playoff chances.
