“We’re still evaluating it” Raiders’ QB Dilemma Deepens in Three-Game Slide, Interim Coach Antonio Pierce Mum on Starter Against Chargers

The Las Vegas Raiders have lost their last three games, which were against the Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs, and Minnesota Vikings. They were able to score against both the Dolphins and Chiefs; however, they were nil against the Vikings, which raised concern among its members.

The term head coach of the Raiders, Antonio Pierce, has not yet stated who will be the starter quarterback for the next game of the squad, which is against the Los Angeles Chargers. Whether it will be Aidan O’Connell or someone else, it is still unknown.

According to Pro Football Talk via Vinny Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Pierce shared, “We’re still going through that process. Got a couple more hours. See how it’s going.”

The Raiders are fourth in the AFC West and the interim head coach has been obscured on the quarterback role, whether or not Jimmy Garropolo will take the reigns or if it will be O’Connell.

Pierce further states: “I never said Aidan wasn’t the starter, let’s say that first and foremost. We’re still evaluating it. If there’s a chance to get better, a chance to improve, a chance to put us in position to win, we gotta get all the factors that go into it.”

“Just making decisions based off media, a loss, a bad, ugly performance, that’s not how you do things in the National Football League. That’s not how you run a business. Maybe other people do, A.P. doesn’t, and the Raiders are not going to do that. We’re going to do whatever it takes to put ourselves in position to win. And after today, we’ll have a better answer.”
