The Detroit Lions are currently occupying the top spot in the NFC North division but have lost two games out of four. They won and lost the matches against the Chicago Bears, won against the New Orleans Saints and lost one to the Green Bay Packers.

According to Pro Football Talk, Lions’ Pro Bowl wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has been muffled in his performance lately. Against the Saints, he posted two passes for 49 yards and a touchdown.

As per the Detroit Lions, while playing against the Chicago Bears, which the Lions lost, St. Brown had caught only three of his nine targets for 21 yards.

As per PFT, the quarterback of the Lions, Jared Goff, shared regarding the talented wide receiver, “Well, the Saints game, they doubled him. They paid a little bit more attention to him in this game. I don’t believe they quite doubled him. But yeah, it’s what good players get. Good players get doubles often and he’s gotten that at times this year and sometimes he’s able to beat the double and it doesn’t really matter, but yeah, trying to get him the ball in different ways.”

Further expressing, “I think he’s doing a great job. He’s been very accountable of things that he feels like he can do better and then for me as well, I’m very much just talking to him about ways that I want to try to do better for him and get him the ball in certain ways a little bit better than we have in the last couple weeks.

“But he’s one of the best guys I’ve ever been around and have no doubts that he’s going to be just fine, and we’ll finish this season off pretty well.”

St. Brown has, till now, posted 87 passes caught for 1,063 yards and six touchdowns in twelve games. The Detroit Lions will be playing against the Denver Broncos in their next match.
