The Baltimore Ravens are having an impressive season so far and have clinched victories in their last three games. They won against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Los Angeles Chargers, and the Los Angeles Rams.
The Ravens are currently at the top of the AFC North division and their quarterback has naturally sparked the MVP debate. Lamar Jackson gave a brilliant performance against the Rams and the Ravens won that game with a concluding score of 37-31.
The top current favourites of major NFL voices are San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, and wide receiver of the Miami Dolphins, Tyreek Hill. However, Jackson is also making it a great prospect for him to be considered in the MVP race.
According to Pro Football Talk, Jackson received the MVP award in 2019 when he catapulted the Ravens record to 14-2. The two-time Pro Bowl quarterback has shared that this honour isn"t primarily on his radar.
According to PFT via the Baltimore Ravens, Jackson said, "It’s an honor just being acknowledged — to be [in the] conversation with great guys. But I’m just trying to stay locked in trying to win, because I want another trophy."
He further shared, "I like playing football, so it really doesn"t matter," I"m going to have fun."
Through his affirmative opinions, Jackson is referring to the Vince Lombardi Trophy, which is given to the winners of the Super Bowl. He appreciates the attention and consideration but his eyes are set on winning the Super Bowl game.
