The Baltimore Ravens dominantly defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars and the concluding score after the fourth quarter was 23-7. Subsequently, the Ravens have also secured their first AFC playoff berth, as per the NFL.
The Ravens currently stand in the season with a score of 11-3, whereas the Jaguars are at 8-6. However, there was a moment during one of the plays that once again garnered attention from the NFL community.
The wide receiver for the Jaguars, Calvin Ridley, caught a pass, which was later ruled an incomplete pass by the officials. The Sunday Night Football match was once again targeted by the fans for inconsistent officiating.
NBC's Terry McAulay doesn't buy why this was not a touchdown.
"They're telling me they just did not believe it was clear and obvious. And like I said, I just disagree. We've looked at all the shots, we've pieced them together, knee is down with control – we have a touchdown." pic.twitter.com/xrkl99sMgn

According to Awful Announcing, “NBC’s Terry McAulay doesn’t buy why this was not a touchdown.”
“They’re telling me they just did not believe it was clear and obvious. And like I said, I just disagree. We’ve looked at all the shots, we’ve pieced them together, knee is down with control – we have a touchdown.”
The pass was delivered and caught by Ridley incredibly. He was able to control the ball on his second try and had his knees down and his body did not appear to be outside of the line.
One of the NFL rules analysts, Terry McAulay, was equally shocked and said that it should have been a touchdown point. Unfortunately, for the Jaguars, the field officials, after reviewing, did not consider that a touchdown point and gave an incomplete result to it.
Horrible officiating in NY, no idea how that’s not a catch

@NFL Calvin Ridley, that was a touchdown catch ask the referee on the NBC broadcast#AnotherBadCall

That’s a touchdown for Ridley. That’s why there is review. Another poor job with referees

Specifically remember Diontae Johnson, Trey McBride and now Calvin Ridley having "incompletions" that called a TD by the referee helper dude on the broadcast … only to still be ruled an incompletion after review. Da fuck is a catch.

Jaguars just got robbed of a TD in broad daylight, downright horrible officiating #NFL #Jags #Duuuval #RavensFlock

Ridley has control and in bounds, refs miss it and the league office can’t see it with multiple camera angles and in slow motion…I don’t remember the last time when officiating was this bad #Jaguars #Duuuval

How many game days in a row are the #NFL officials going to completely blow obvious calls? That was a clear and obvious #jaguars touchdown. Officiating is an embarrassment at this point.

So we have a 2 minute long conversation about why that’s a catch, only for New York to rule the opposite
The NFL has an officiating problem

Fans were at the forefront of criticising the NFL referees for their contentious call made on Ridley’s pivotal touchdown. The community vented their dissatisfaction on Platform X, formerly Twitter.
