Warriors’ defensive maestro and firebrand Draymond Green is turning heads and not in the good way and is reportedly putting his promising broadcasting talent to the test.

The 33-year-old is an abrasive player with an abrasive attitude, and the well-known podcaster could he placing his post playing career in jeopardy.

Green was suspended last week by the NBA for sticking a player on the head punching the Suns’ Jusuf Nurkic.

He has been involved in numerous shuffles and incidents and the latest volley could see him miss game time until January next year.

Nick Wright, talking on the Dan Patrick Show publicly voiced his concern over the histrionics of Green.

The dialogue actually started on First Take with Stephen A Smith claiming the Golden State player will be no Charles Barkley.

Wright said, “Will the contemporary NBA fan, when they hear Draymond Green, will they think, ‘Man, one of the greatest defensive players ever, the second or third most important cog in a true dynasty,’ or will they think, ‘lunatic?’ To me, that is more in flux than previously.”

This was his third ejection of the season.

The NBA said last week, “Green’s suspension will begin immediately.

“He will be required to meet certain league and team conditions before he returns to play.”

The suspension will cost Green between $154,000 or up to $203,000 per game.
