The Indianapolis Colts have suspended two players, cornerback Tony Brown and wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie, for violating team rules.

The reason for their suspension has not been disclosed.

Both players will be on the Reserve/Suspended list for the Colts’ remaining three regular-season games, resulting in a loss of $190,588 in salary for each.

This news comes at a critical time for the Colts, who are currently 8-6 and fighting for a playoff spot.

Neither Brown nor McKenzie played in the recent win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15.

Tony Brown, a cornerback, has played in 12 games this season, starting in one. He has contributed with one interception, one forced fumble, one pass defensed, and 10 tackles.

Brown’s journey in the NFL has included stints with the Los Angeles Chargers, Green Bay Packers, Cincinnati Bengals, Las Vegas Raiders, and, most recently, re-signing with the Colts in March 2023.

Isaiah McKenzie, a wide receiver and return specialist, has played in 13 games this season, starting in two. He has recorded 11 catches for 82 yards and has been the team’s primary return specialist, with 23 punt returns for 204 yards and six kickoffs for 152 yards.

McKenzie began his NFL career with the Denver Broncos, had a significant tenure with the Buffalo Bills, and joined the Colts in March 2023 after being released by the Bills.
