“I don’t think we are where we are right now because of coaching,” – Jets CB Sauce Gardner after routing against Dolphins

The Jets are now officially out of playoff contention after their demoralizing 30-0 drubbing by the Dolphins.

The loss and a losing season record has seen calls for head coach Robert Saleh and GM Joe Douglas from to move on from their New York gig.

But the players are firmly behind the HC and GM, and cornerback Sauce Gardner is vocal about their support despite a 5-9 season after week 15.

“I don’t think we are where we are right now because of coaching,” Gardner told Brian Costello of the New York Post.

“I’m a young player. It could be easy for me to say, ‘Yeah, it’s all on the coaching.’ But when I really thought about everything, it’s really like, bro, we’ve just been unfortunate. Injuries, penalties, so many things that could be avoided. It is what it is.”

The fourth snap Achilles injury of Aaron Rodgers in their opening game was devastating while another injury to Offensive Lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker.

The Jets take on the Commanders in week 16 and while not much is riding on the game, Saleh will look for solace with a win.
